R Mayilsamy, a well-known Tamil comedian, died early on Sunday in Chennai from a heart attack at the age of 57. When his family and coworkers brought him to Porur Sri Ramachandra Medical College in Chennai, he complained of feeling uneasy while dubbing for a movie, but he passed away on Sunday morning.

Mayilsamy worked in more than 100 films

According to information, Tamil cinema actor and comedy artist Mayilsamy (2 October 1965 – 19 February 2023) is no longer among us. He died in Chennai in the early hours of Sunday. Recently, the Artists Association said in a tweet that the 57-year-old comedian suffered a heart attack this morning and died on the spot. Mayilasamy has acted in over 100 films, including those with top actors Ajith Kumar, Vijay and Kamal Haasan. He also used to appear in TV debates many times.

In the South Indian entertainment sector, Mayilsamy was a well-liked television veteran who was renowned for his exquisite comedic timing. In well-liked Tamil daily soap operas and films, he primarily performed supporting roles. Mayilsamy was also a well-known stand-up comedian, TV personality, stage performer, and theatre artist. From his earliest years, Mayilsamy was active in theatre and stage performances. He also performed and toured Tamil Nadu with a well-known local comedy troupe.
